It all started when…

My son decided to give me a web-site for my birthday. This site has been dormant for a number of years; while work (and a few little adventures) got in the way.

Nev and I often throw ideas around of how we are going to 'fit it all in'!  We'd love to have a crystal ball but we don't so now we are in our early 60's we are clutching at life with both hands, for fear it is going to slip away from us, before we've completed all our dreamed of adventures.

We are in great shape; still enjoy exercise and I'm the chief cook so I ensure we put into our bodies the sustenance I believe will be nourishing, yet I'm not perfect. I enjoy washing a meal down with a good red, and I love (dark) chocolate as much as the next woman.  I've seen good health stolen from people who guarded their well-being as closely as I do, and am determined to do whatever I can to keep that burglar at bay.

In April 2018 we farewelled our work colleagues forever; and we set off on retirement travel adventures that will include learning how to keep in touch with 'our world' via regular blog posts on this site. Check put our 2018 cycle touring blogs of our rides through Eastern Europe, the Baltic countries, Morocco, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines. July 2019 we begin riding the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, 4500 kilometers from Canada to Mexico.
